Key Information

The accessories category includes products that make magnets easier to fasten, install, inspect and use safely. With these products, magnetic force alone is not the main consideration; what matters is that the magnet works accurately, durably and predictably in real applications. The right accessory can often be just as important as the magnet itself, especially when installation, bonding or subsequent inspection is part of the task.

  • The main purpose of bonding accessories is to ensure that a magnet can be fixed securely to different surfaces. The industrial instant adhesive in our range can be used with ferrite, neodymium and samarium-cobalt magnets and is suitable for various materials, including metal, rubber and most plastics. Surface preparation also affects the durability of an adhesive joint: with nickel-coated neodymium magnets, lightly roughening the surface can improve adhesion.

  • Another important group of accessories supports mechanical fastening. Countersunk stainless-steel screws allow neat installation, while steel counterparts are useful when a suitable receiving surface needs to be created for the magnet. Nickel-protected counterparts are also available in screw-mount versions, allowing more stable and durable fastening where the magnet alone is not sufficient.

  • The accessories range also includes inspection and demonstration tools that make it easier to examine magnetic fields. Polarity testers can be used to determine the north and south poles of a magnet, which is particularly important during installation or when several magnets are used together. Iron powder and iron filings can be used to visualise magnetic field lines, making them useful for education, demonstrations and inspection.

  • A well-chosen accessory not only makes installation easier but also improves the reliability of the final result. When selecting accessories, it is therefore worth considering the fastening method, the surface material, the load conditions and whether the magnet will require later inspection or maintenance.
