Strontium Ferrite Pot Magnet, Diameter: 40 mm, with Hole
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing partly closes the magnetic circuit and directs flux from the pole towards the contact surface, improving holding force in direct contact compared with a bare magnet. The strontium ferrite insert offers a durable, reliable solution. It is a good choice where stable operation, heat resistance and environmental resistance are more important than maximum strength. The version with a hole suits rigid installation: screw it into place to secure the pot magnet. (Quick specifications: Tmax: 200 °C)
Allow a greater safety margin for sideways loads and carry out a trial installation for the specific application. Common applications include removable attachments, brackets, stops and workshop organisation, making use of ferrite's stability and the benefits of the pot housing. For applications involving heat, use the Tmax value as the limit. Ferrite generally tolerates heat well, but observe the limits of the assembly.
Warning: keep away from children. The magnet can pinch fingers and chip or crack on impact. Store with spacers and keep away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
