Strontium Ferrite Pot Magnet, Diameter: 36 mm, Internally Threaded
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing partly closes the magnetic circuit and directs flux from the pole towards the contact surface, improving holding force in direct contact compared with a bare magnet. Ferrite (strontium ferrite) is a ceramic magnetic material with good resistance to corrosion and stable properties. With a pot housing, it provides a secure industrial attachment point. The internal thread allows easy mounting of the pot magnet with a threaded rod or screw for quick, neat installation. (Quick specifications: thread: M5; Tmax: 200 °C)
The holding force in the technical table is a nominal value measured by perpendicular pull-off from thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Shear loads, paint, gaps and thin sheet metal can significantly reduce the actual load capacity. Typical uses include assembly aids, temporary attachments, labels and signs, simple holders and workshop positioning. For applications involving heat, use the Tmax value as the limit. Ferrite generally tolerates heat well, but observe the limits of the assembly.
Warning: not suitable for children. Attachment at the contact surface can be strong, and impacts may damage the insert. Keep away from cards and electronics.
