Strontium Ferrite Pot Magnet, Diameter: 40 mm, Internally Threaded
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing partly closes the magnetic circuit and directs flux from the pole towards the contact surface, improving holding force in direct contact compared with a bare magnet. In this version, the magnetic insert is strontium ferrite (ceramic). Its benefits include good corrosion resistance, stability and generally better heat tolerance, although it provides less strength than neodymium for the same size. The internal thread allows easy mounting of the pot magnet with a threaded rod or screw for quick, neat installation. (Quick specifications: thread: M5; Tmax: 200 °C)
The holding force in the technical table is a nominal value measured by perpendicular pull-off from thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Shear loads, paint, gaps and thin sheet metal can significantly reduce the actual load capacity. Typical uses include assembly aids, temporary attachments, labels and signs, simple holders and workshop positioning. The table specifies the maximum operating temperature. Ferrite inserts generally tolerate higher temperatures, but observe the specified limit.
Warning: keep away from children. The magnet can pinch fingers and chip or crack on impact. Store with spacers and keep away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
