Pot Magnet Ø75 mm with Internal Thread
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing forms a magnetic circuit and directs flux from the poles towards the contact surface. In direct contact, holding force is typically much greater than that of a bare neodymium magnet. The housing and protective coating of a pot magnet can be selected to suit its application. This version uses a neodymium (NdFeB) insert for high holding force. Nickel-coated for improved surface protection and appearance. The internal thread allows quick mounting to a holder using a screw or threaded rod, with easy relocation when needed. Nominal diameter: Ø75 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 150 kg (1500 N).
The specified holding force (pull-off force) is a laboratory value: perpendicular pull-off on thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Under real conditions, including shear loads, thin sheet metal, paint or gaps, load capacity may be considerably lower. Common applications include removable attachments in manufacturing and workshops, positioning, door and lid catches, temporary mounting and holding parts during assembly. Snapping together suddenly with other magnets or steel can cause chipping. Use spacers when installing and storing magnets. For applications involving heat, check the maximum temperature in the table and avoid direct heat sources.
Warning: keep away from children. Strong magnetic attraction can pinch fingers. Magnets can snap together suddenly and break. Store them with spacers and keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
