Pot Magnet Ø48 mm with Countersunk Hole
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing forms a magnetic circuit and directs flux from the poles towards the contact surface. In direct contact, holding force is typically much greater than that of a bare neodymium magnet. The housing material and insert type of a pot magnet depend on its application. This product uses a neodymium (NdFeB) insert to provide a strong attachment in a compact space. The surface is nickel-coated, typically NiCuNi, to help protect against corrosion and provide a uniform industrial finish. This version with a countersunk mounting hole, allowing secure screw mounting to a bracket or plate without adhesive. Nominal diameter: Ø48 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 55 kg (550 N).
The pot magnet performs best on solid steel with a minimal air gap. Allow a safety margin for sideways loads and carry out a trial installation. Typical applications include jigs and assembly aids, temporary attachments, magnetic bases for sensors and stops, signs and labels, and removable holders and brackets. Snapping together suddenly with other magnets or steel can cause chipping. Use spacers when installing and storing magnets. Standard NdFeB magnets can typically be used up to approximately 80°C. High temperatures can permanently reduce magnetism. Check the technical table for the exact limit.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and impacts may cause chipping. Keep away from electronics and medical devices.
