Pot Magnet Ø20 mm with Countersunk Hole
The pot magnets contain a neodymium magnet in a purpose-sized steel housing. The housing directs magnetic flux towards the contact surface, providing greater, more controlled holding force for a given size in industrial and workshop applications. Pot magnets can use various magnetic materials, including Alnico, samarium cobalt and ferrite. This series uses neodymium (NdFeB) inserts for their high strength-to-volume ratio. The surface is nickel-coated, typically NiCuNi, to help protect against corrosion and provide a uniform industrial finish. The with a countersunk hole design suits rigid installation, providing quick, secure attachment and neat mounting. Nominal diameter: Ø20 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 10,5 kg (105 N).
The specified holding force (pull-off force) is a laboratory value: perpendicular pull-off on thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Under real conditions, including shear loads, thin sheet metal, paint or gaps, load capacity may be considerably lower. Common applications include removable attachments in manufacturing and workshops, positioning, door and lid catches, temporary mounting and holding parts during assembly. Snapping together suddenly with other magnets or steel can cause chipping. Use spacers when installing and storing magnets. Observe the specified maximum operating temperature. Exceeding it may cause partial or permanent loss of magnetic strength.
Warning: keep away from children. Strong magnetic attraction can pinch fingers. Magnets can snap together suddenly and break. Store them with spacers and keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
