Pot Magnet Ø16 mm with External Thread
The pot magnets contain a neodymium magnet in a purpose-sized steel housing. The housing directs magnetic flux towards the contact surface, providing greater, more controlled holding force for a given size in industrial and workshop applications. Pot magnets can use various magnetic materials, including Alnico, samarium cobalt and ferrite. This series uses neodymium (NdFeB) inserts for their high strength-to-volume ratio. Nickel-coated for improved surface protection and appearance. The with an external thread installation is quick: screw it into the mating component to create a magnetic attachment point. Nominal diameter: Ø16 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 9,5 kg (95 N).
The pot magnet performs best on solid steel with a minimal air gap. Allow a safety margin for sideways loads and carry out a trial installation. Typical applications include jigs and assembly aids, temporary attachments, magnetic bases for sensors and stops, signs and labels, and removable holders and brackets. Although the steel housing protects the insert, NdFeB is hard but brittle. Avoid impacts and do not overtighten screws during installation. Standard NdFeB magnets can typically be used up to approximately 80°C. High temperatures can permanently reduce magnetism. Check the technical table for the exact limit.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and impacts may cause chipping. Keep away from electronics and medical devices.
