Pot Magnet Ø75 with Countersunk Hole
The pot magnet construction consists of a neodymium magnet insert and a steel housing. The steel housing directs the magnetic field to concentrate it at the working surface, reduces stray flux and partly protects the insert from mechanical damage. The housing material and insert type of a pot magnet depend on its application. This product uses a neodymium (NdFeB) insert to provide a strong attachment in a compact space. Nickel coating protects the surface and improves durability in normal environments. The countersunk hole allows screw mounting with the screw head closer to the surface plane, which is useful when a flat contact surface is required. Nominal diameter: Ø75 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 130 kg (1300 N).
The pot magnet performs best on solid steel with a minimal air gap. Allow a safety margin for sideways loads and carry out a trial installation. Typical applications include jigs and assembly aids, temporary attachments, magnetic bases for sensors and stops, signs and labels, and removable holders and brackets. Although the steel housing protects the insert, NdFeB is hard but brittle. Avoid impacts and do not overtighten screws during installation. For applications involving heat, check the maximum temperature in the table and avoid direct heat sources.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and impacts may cause chipping. Keep away from electronics and medical devices.
