Pot Magnet Ø32 mm with Countersunk Hole
The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing forms a magnetic circuit and directs flux from the poles towards the contact surface. In direct contact, holding force is typically much greater than that of a bare neodymium magnet. The housing and protective coating of a pot magnet can be selected to suit its application. This version uses a neodymium (NdFeB) insert for high holding force. The surface is nickel-coated, typically NiCuNi, to help protect against corrosion and provide a uniform industrial finish. The countersunk hole allows screw mounting with the screw head closer to the surface plane, which is useful when a flat contact surface is required. Nominal diameter: Ø32 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 31 kg (310 N).
The specified holding force (pull-off force) is a laboratory value: perpendicular pull-off on thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Under real conditions, including shear loads, thin sheet metal, paint or gaps, load capacity may be considerably lower. Common applications include removable attachments in manufacturing and workshops, positioning, door and lid catches, temporary mounting and holding parts during assembly. The pot partly protects the insert, but impacts can still damage it. Use moderate tightening force during installation and a washer where necessary. For applications involving heat, check the maximum temperature in the table and avoid direct heat sources.
Warning: technical product. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully. Keep away from children and devices sensitive to magnetic fields.
