Pot Magnet Ø20 mm with External Thread

The pot magnet is a magnet assembly containing a permanent magnet in a steel housing. The housing forms a magnetic circuit and directs flux from the poles towards the contact surface. In direct contact, holding force is typically much greater than that of a bare neodymium magnet. The housing and protective coating of a pot magnet can be selected to suit its application. This version uses a neodymium (NdFeB) insert for high holding force. Nickel-coated for improved surface protection and appearance. Externally threaded design: ideal for brackets and threaded inserts where the magnetic attachment point can simply be screwed into place. Nominal diameter: Ø20 mm. Nominal pull-off force under ideal conditions: 14 kg (140 N).

The specified holding force (pull-off force) is a laboratory value: perpendicular pull-off on thick, flat, clean steel in direct contact. Under real conditions, including shear loads, thin sheet metal, paint or gaps, load capacity may be considerably lower. Useful wherever a quick, reusable attachment point is needed on steel, including holders, accessories and temporary assemblies. The pot partly protects the insert, but impacts can still damage it. Use moderate tightening force during installation and a washer where necessary. Observe the specified maximum operating temperature. Exceeding it may cause partial or permanent loss of magnetic strength.

Warning: technical product. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully. Keep away from children and devices sensitive to magnetic fields.
