Neodymium Rod Magnet 6,35 x 12,7 mm N42
NdFeB (neodymium) magnets provide high magnetic attraction for their size, making them popular for technical and DIY applications. Compared with ferrite, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. The magnet generally has a protective surface coating. N42 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52. The cylinder magnet can be incorporated discreetly into components, holders or housings and is easy to align.
This size suits compact applications, including small attachments and simple assemblies on flat metal surfaces. (Ø6,35×12,7 mm) Holding force depends strongly on the thickness and condition of the metal surface. It is greater on thick steel and weaker on thin sheet metal.
Warning: keep out of reach of children. Swallowing magnets poses a serious risk and requires immediate medical attention. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Separate them by sliding them apart. Keep them away from medical devices, cards and sensitive electronics.
