Neodymium Rod Magnet 4 x 8 mm N35
A neodymium (NdFeB) cylinder magnet is very strong. It is magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture, providing high magnetic attraction in a compact size. Alongside high magnetic attraction, the surface coating helps improve durability. N35 indicates the magnetic grade, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; higher numbers generally indicate greater magnetic attraction. The cylindrical shape is practical: it fits readily into a hole or recess and provides good contact on flat metal surfaces.
The Ø4×8 mm cylinder is useful for DIY projects, including lids, boxes, small holders and quick attachments. (Ø4×8 mm) Paint, film or gaps noticeably reduce magnetic attraction. The magnet performs best on a flat, clean surface.
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injuries. Seek urgent medical attention. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Separate them by sliding them apart. Keep them away from medical devices, cards and sensitive electronics.
