Neodymium Rod Magnet 4 x 5 mm N48
NdFeB (neodymium) magnets provide high magnetic attraction for their size, making them popular for technical and DIY applications. It is much stronger than conventional ferrite magnets and generally has a protective coating because the material can corrode over time. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The cylindrical shape is practical: it fits readily into a hole or recess and provides good contact on flat metal surfaces.
This size suits compact applications, including small attachments and simple assemblies on flat metal surfaces. (Ø4×5 mm) Paint, film or gaps noticeably reduce magnetic attraction. The magnet performs best on a flat, clean surface.
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injuries. Seek urgent medical attention. Magnetic attraction is strong. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully to avoid pinching injuries and chipping. Keep them away from medical devices, cards and sensitive electronics.
