Neodymium Rod Magnet 3 x 20 mm N48
NdFeB (neodymium) magnets provide high magnetic attraction for their size, making them popular for technical and DIY applications. Compared with ferrite, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. The magnet generally has a protective surface coating. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The cylinder magnet can be incorporated discreetly into components, holders or housings and is easy to align.
This size suits compact applications, including small attachments and simple assemblies on flat metal surfaces. (Ø3×20 mm) Holding force depends strongly on the thickness and condition of the metal surface. It is greater on thick steel and weaker on thin sheet metal.
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injuries. Seek urgent medical attention. Magnets can snap together quickly and pinch fingers. They are hard but brittle, so do not allow them to collide. Keep them away from medical devices, cards and sensitive electronics.
