Neodymium Rod Magnet 2 x 5 mm N48
Neodymium (NdFeB) is among the strongest magnetic materials and provides substantial holding force for its size. Compared with ferrite, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. The magnet generally has a protective surface coating. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52. The cylinder magnet can be incorporated discreetly into components, holders or housings and is easy to align.
Its small size suits precision work, including model making, prototypes, sensors, electronics and experiments. (Ø2×5 mm) Holding force depends strongly on the thickness and condition of the metal surface. It is greater on thick steel and weaker on thin sheet metal.
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injuries. Seek urgent medical attention. Magnetic attraction is strong. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully to avoid pinching injuries and chipping. Keep them away from medical devices, cards and sensitive electronics.
