Neodymium Rod Magnet 2 x 4 mm N48
 
NdFeB (neodymium) magnets provide high magnetic attraction for their size, making them popular for technical and DIY applications. It is much stronger than conventional ferrite magnets and generally has a protective coating because the material can corrode over time. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The cylindrical shape is practical: it fits readily into a hole or recess and provides good contact on flat metal surfaces.
 
Suitable for smaller projects and discreet attachments, and easy to incorporate into an assembly. (Ø2×4 mm) Holding force depends strongly on the thickness and condition of the metal surface. It is greater on thick steel and weaker on thin sheet metal.
 
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injuries. Seek urgent medical attention. Magnetic attraction is strong. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully to avoid pinching injuries and chipping. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
