Neodymium Rod Magnet 10 x 40 mm N48
 
A neodymium (NdFeB) cylinder magnet is very strong. It is magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture, providing high magnetic attraction in a compact size. It is much stronger than conventional ferrite magnets and generally has a protective coating because the material can corrode over time. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52. The cylindrical design makes it easy to install and useful for attachments, alignment and compact assemblies.
 
Larger sizes provide substantial magnetic attraction, suitable for strong attachments and robust projects, with careful handling. (Ø10×40 mm) Paint, film or gaps noticeably reduce magnetic attraction. The magnet performs best on a flat, clean surface.
 
Warning: keep away from children. Swallowing magnets can be life-threatening. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowing is suspected. Magnetic attraction is strong. Bring magnets together and separate them carefully to avoid pinching injuries and chipping. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
