Neodymium Disc Magnet 8 x 8 mm N48

A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is a very strong magnet produced by aligning the alloy particles in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Its magnetic attraction is much greater than that of ferrite magnets, and a surface coating protects it against corrosion. N48 indicates the magnetic grade; NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets.

The Ø8 × 8 mm size is suitable for DIY projects, small holders, catches and temporary attachments to steel. Even a small gap caused by thick paint, tape or an uneven surface noticeably reduces holding force. It performs best on solid steel.

Warning: keep away from children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and the magnet can chip easily. Store magnets with spacers and avoid impacts. Keep them away from bank cards, hard drives, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
