Neodymium Disc Magnet 5 x 5 mm N52
 
An NdFeB (neodymium) magnet provides high magnetic attraction for its size, making it useful for technical projects, DIY and quick attachments. It is noticeably stronger than conventional ferrite magnets and generally has a protective coating because the material is prone to corrosion. The N52 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.
 
At Ø5 × 5 mm, this magnet provides a good hold on metal and is useful at home, in workshops and for a variety of projects. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.
 
Warning: keep away from children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and the magnet can chip easily. Store magnets with spacers and avoid impacts. Keep them away from bank cards, hard drives, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
