Neodymium Disc Magnet 12 x 3 mm N48
An NdFeB (neodymium) magnet provides high magnetic attraction for its size, making it useful for technical projects, DIY and quick attachments. Its magnetic attraction is much greater than that of ferrite magnets, and a surface coating protects it against corrosion. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.
At Ø12 × 3 mm, this magnet is useful for magnetic catches, workshop organisation, DIY projects and lighter attachments to metal surfaces. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong magnets can snap together suddenly, causing pinching injuries, and may break. Bring them together and separate them carefully. Keep them away from bank cards, hard drives, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
