Neodymium Disc Magnet 12 x 1 mm N50
A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is small but very strong. It is made from a special alloy and magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Neodymium is much stronger than ferrite, and its protective coating helps prevent corrosion. N50 indicates the magnetic grade; NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets.
At Ø12 × 1 mm, this magnet is useful for magnetic catches, workshop organisation, DIY projects and lighter attachments to metal surfaces. The metal material and thickness strongly affect performance. A thicker, flatter surface gives a better hold.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong magnets can snap together suddenly, causing pinching injuries, and may break. Bring them together and separate them carefully. Keep them away from medical devices and objects sensitive to magnetic fields, including cards and electronics.
