Neodymium Block Magnet 2 with Countersunk Hole 50 x 20 x 5 mm N48
Neodymium (NdFeB) is among the strongest magnetic materials and provides substantial holding force for its size. Its magnetic attraction is greater than that of ferrite magnets, and the surface coating helps reduce corrosion. N48 indicates the magnetic grade; NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The with Hole design allows stable, repeatable screw mounting (with 2 mounting holes).
The larger design suits demanding applications, including attachments with high magnetic attraction and professional use. Even a small gap caused by paint, tape or clearance noticeably reduces magnetic attraction. It performs best on solid steel. Do not overtighten the screw during installation. Neodymium is hard but brittle and can chip or crack under excessive pressure. A washer can help.
Warning: not suitable for children. Two magnets can snap together quickly, pinch fingers and crack or chip. Separate them carefully and avoid impacts. Keep them away from medical devices and objects sensitive to magnetic fields, including cards and electronics.
