Neodymium Rod Magnet 1 x 2 mm N48
NdFeB (neodymium) magnets provide high magnetic attraction for their size, making them popular for technical and DIY applications. Compared with ferrite, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. The magnet generally has a protective surface coating. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The cylinder magnet can be incorporated discreetly into components, holders or housings and is easy to align.
Its small size suits precision work, including model making, prototypes, sensors, electronics and experiments. (Ø1×2 mm) Holding force depends strongly on the thickness and condition of the metal surface. It is greater on thick steel and weaker on thin sheet metal.
Warning: keep away from children. Swallowing magnets can be life-threatening. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowing is suspected. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Separate them by sliding them apart. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
