Neodymium Disc Magnet 8 x 6 mm N48
Neodymium (NdFeB) is among the strongest magnetic materials, even in small sizes, and its stability makes it useful for many practical applications. Compared with conventional ferrite magnets, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. A protective coating helps improve durability. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.
The Ø8 × 6 mm size is suitable for DIY projects, small holders, catches and temporary attachments to steel. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.
Warning: keep away from children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and the magnet can chip easily. Store magnets with spacers and avoid impacts. Keep them away from bank cards, hard drives, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
