Neodymium Disc Magnet 60 x 30 mm N48
A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is small but very strong. It is made from a special alloy and magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Compared with conventional ferrite magnets, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. A protective coating helps improve durability. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.
The larger size suits more demanding tasks, including strong attachments, handling, assembly and robust projects, also in industrial environments. For good results, use a clean metal surface that is as thick as possible. Any gap caused by thick paint or an uneven surface reduces holding force.
Warning: keep out of reach of children. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Handle them carefully when bringing them together or separating them. Keep them away from medical devices and objects sensitive to magnetic fields, including cards and electronics.
