Neodymium Disc Magnet 50 x 15 mm N48
An NdFeB (neodymium) magnet provides high magnetic attraction for its size, making it useful for technical projects, DIY and quick attachments. Its magnetic attraction is much greater than that of ferrite magnets, and a surface coating protects it against corrosion. N48 indicates the magnetic grade; a higher number generally means a stronger magnet, with grades commonly ranging from N35 to N52.
The larger size suits more demanding tasks, including strong attachments, handling, assembly and robust projects, also in industrial environments. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong magnets can snap together suddenly, causing pinching injuries, and may break. Bring them together and separate them carefully. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
