Neodymium Disc Magnet 25 x 1 mm N48

Neodymium (NdFeB) is among the strongest magnetic materials, even in small sizes, and its stability makes it useful for many practical applications. It is noticeably stronger than conventional ferrite magnets and generally has a protective coating because the material is prone to corrosion. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.

At Ø25 × 1 mm, this magnet provides a good hold on metal and is useful at home, in workshops and for a variety of projects. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.

Warning: keep out of reach of children. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Handle them carefully when bringing them together or separating them. Keep them away from medical devices and objects sensitive to magnetic fields, including cards and electronics.
