Neodymium Disc Magnet 20 x 2 mm N48

A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is a very strong magnet produced by aligning the alloy particles in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Its magnetic attraction is much greater than that of ferrite magnets, and a surface coating protects it against corrosion. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.

The Ø20 × 2 mm size provides a strong, stable hold for workpiece holding, workshop organisation and everyday practical applications. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.

Warning: not suitable for children. Strong magnets can snap together suddenly, causing pinching injuries, and may break. Bring them together and separate them carefully. Keep them away from bank cards, hard drives, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
