Neodymium Disc Magnet 18 x 5 mm N48
A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is small but very strong. It is made from a special alloy and magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Compared with conventional ferrite magnets, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. A protective coating helps improve durability. The N48 magnet belongs to the NdFeB family, commonly ranging from N35 to N52; a higher number generally means greater magnetic attraction.
At Ø18 × 5 mm, this magnet is suitable for more demanding workshop attachments, including holders, jigs, removable assemblies and technical projects. For good results, use a clean metal surface that is as thick as possible. Any gap caused by thick paint or an uneven surface reduces holding force.
Warning: keep away from children. Strong attraction can cause pinching injuries, and the magnet can chip easily. Store magnets with spacers and avoid impacts. Keep them away from sensitive electronics, cards and medical devices.
