Neodymium Disc Magnet 13 x 5 mm N48
A neodymium magnet (NdFeB) is small but very strong. It is made from a special alloy and magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture. Its magnetic attraction is much greater than that of ferrite magnets, and a surface coating protects it against corrosion. N48 indicates the magnetic grade; NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets.
At Ø13 × 5 mm, this magnet is suitable for more demanding workshop attachments, including holders, jigs, removable assemblies and technical projects. The actual hold depends on the contact surface and the thickness of the metal. Holding force is greater on thick steel than on thin sheet metal.
Warning: not suitable for children. Strong magnets can snap together suddenly, causing pinching injuries, and may break. Bring them together and separate them carefully. Keep them away from sensitive electronics, cards and medical devices.
