Neodymium Ring Magnet 17.8 x 6.5 x 10 mm N48
This neodymium (NdFeB) ring magnet is very strong. It is magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture, providing high magnetic attraction in a compact size. Neodymium offers much greater attraction than ferrite, and its surface is usually protected. N48 indicates the magnetic grade, commonly within the N35–N52 range; a higher number generally means greater attraction. The ring shape fits easily into a recess or around a hole and is useful on shafts, screws or as a spacer.
At Ø17.8/Ø6.5 × 10 mm, it is suitable for magnetic catches, DIY projects, organisation and lighter attachments to steel. The closest possible contact gives the best results, with solid steel providing a particularly strong hold.
Warning: not suitable for children. Swallowed magnets can cause serious injury; seek urgent medical attention. Magnets can snap together suddenly, pinch skin and chip or break on impact. Slide them apart when separating them. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices.
