Neodymium Ring Magnet 17.5 x 5.5 x 10 mm N48
A neodymium (NdFeB) ring magnet is very strong. It is magnetised in a strong magnetic field during manufacture, providing high magnetic attraction in a compact size. Compared with ferrite, neodymium provides much greater magnetic attraction. The magnet generally has a protective surface coating. N48 indicates the magnetic grade. NdFeB grades commonly range from N35 to N52, with higher numbers generally indicating stronger magnets. The ring shape is useful for mounting on a shaft or screw, or for precise alignment and guidance. The central hole helps with these applications.
At Ø17.5/Ø5.5×10 mm, this magnet provides a strong hold for workshop use, assembly, alignment and technical projects. (Ø17.5/Ø5.5×10 mm) Paint, film or gaps noticeably reduce magnetic attraction. The magnet performs best on a flat, clean surface.
Warning: keep away from children. Swallowing magnets can be life-threatening. Seek immediate medical attention if swallowing is suspected. Magnets can snap together quickly and pinch fingers. They are hard but brittle, so do not allow them to collide. Keep them away from bank cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
