Rubber-Coated Neodymium Pot Magnet, Diameter: 43 mm, Externally Threaded, UNC- 1/4" - Discontinued
An AlNiCo pot magnet combines an AlNiCo magnetic insert with a dimensioned steel housing. The steel housing concentrates magnetic flux toward the working face, reduces stray field and protects the magnetic insert from mechanical damage.
AlNiCo is valued for good temperature stability and is especially useful in technical applications where heat resistance is important. For best performance, the magnet should work against a clean steel surface with good contact. AlNiCo is more sensitive to demagnetisation than some other permanent-magnet materials, so strong opposing magnetic fields should be avoided.
Actual holding force depends strongly on steel thickness, surface condition, air gap and whether the load is applied in pull or shear. Typical applications include workshop fixtures, positioning, stops, reusable assemblies and other technical fastening tasks.
Safety: strong magnets can snap together suddenly and cause pinching or damage. Keep away from children, magnetic cards, sensitive electronics and medical devices such as pacemakers.
