AlNiCo Rod Magnet 6 x 25 mm
AlNiCo is a permanent-magnet material based on aluminium, nickel and cobalt. It is particularly valued for very good stability at elevated temperatures and good corrosion resistance.
The rod shape is useful in sensors, pickups, measuring devices, magnetic contacts, educational experiments and other technical assemblies where a compact cylindrical magnet is required. AlNiCo is a good choice where temperature stability and long-term consistency are more important than maximum magnetic strength.
Note: AlNiCo is hard but brittle and is more sensitive to demagnetisation in opposing magnetic fields or open magnetic circuits. Avoid impacts, drilling and unsuitable cutting, and use an appropriate magnetic circuit where possible.
