POT MAGNETS
A pot magnet is more than a bare magnet. It is a magnetic fastening element in which a permanent magnet is installed inside a steel housing. The steel housing protects the magnet from mechanical damage and helps concentrate the magnetic force toward the contact surface. As a result, a pot magnet can often provide stronger and safer fastening than a similarly sized magnet without a housing. Many applications require a strong attachment point that can be installed quickly and repositioned repeatedly. Mounting a sign, lamp, cable, hook, tool holder, sensor or small assembly does not always require drilling, adhesive bonding or welding. In such cases, a pot magnet can provide high holding force on steel and other ferromagnetic surfaces despite its compact size. Pot magnets are especially useful when fast, removable and reusable fastening is required. They are practical in industrial environments, workshops, warehouses, display and advertising systems, shop fittings, vehicles and even home applications.
